Guide for Property Managers
Vyjádření sítí CETIN: communication cables are almost everywhere
CETIN operates the largest communications network in the Czech Republic, comprising both metallic and optical cables across the entire territory. This is precisely why authorities require a utility network statement from CETIN for virtually every construction project.
What CETIN manages
CETIN owns the infrastructure of the former O2 (Telefónica): telephone metallic cables, optical routes and technical facilities. Their conduits can be found in city streets and along rural roads, often at a depth of only a few dozen centimetres, which is precisely why clashes with them are the most common cause of cable damage during excavation.
How to request a utility network statement yourself
- Open the CETIN utility network statement portal at the address vyjadrenisiti.cz.
- Register, mark your area of interest on the map and state the purpose of the application (e.g. Planning permission, project documentation).
- The utility network statement is free and sent electronically: either immediately (if there is no network in the area) or after processing.
What to watch out for
- Service area coverage: Draw with a safety margin around the entire building, including utility connections: the statement is valid only for the plotted polygon.
- Protection conditions: If the network is present in the area, read the annex with conditions. They usually require marking out before work begins and manual digging within the protective zone.
- Validity: The validity period is stated directly on the utility network statement; for submission to the authority, the statement must be valid at the time of filing.

This is just one of the 20-25 entities your construction project will require. We submit requests to all of them at once for 2,990 Kč incl. VAT.
