Water utility statements: varying by region
Water supply and sewerage systems do not have a single national operator. Depending on the region, you must apply to PVK, ČEVAK, companies in the Veolia group, or dozens of smaller water utilities and municipalities, each with its own procedure.

Warning: in one locality, more than one entity may issue a utility network statement: the infrastructure owner (often an association of municipalities) and its operator.
How to apply yourself
- Find out who operates the water supply and sewerage for your municipality (the municipality's website or digital technical map will help).
- Most water utilities have an online form for a utility network statement; smaller operators accept requests by email.
- The utility network statement is usually free of charge, although some water utilities levy a fee in the order of hundreds of Kč.
What to watch out for
- Legally mandated protective zones: For rows and sewers up to a diameter of 500 mm, the distance is 1.5 metres from the outer face of the pipe on both sides; for diameters over 500 mm, it is 2.5 metres.
- Connections: A utility network statement does not cover the establishment of a water supply or sewer connection. That is a separate application with its own conditions.
- Municipal networks: Documentation for small municipal water supplies is often the least reliable, all the more reason to request a written utility network statement.
