Statement from ČEZ Distribuce: electricity has the strictest bands
ČEZ Distribuce operates the electrical distribution system across most of the Czech Republic. A utility network statement regarding the existence of equipment is required for both the project and the permit, and its conditions are among the strictest.

Submit your request to the distributor according to the plot's location: boundaries roughly follow the regions, but it is worth verifying both at the area edges.
How to request a utility network statement yourself
- ČEZ Distribuce accepts applications electronically via its Geoportal (geoportal.cezdistribuce.cz) - notification of the existence of equipment is free of charge.
- Mark out your area of interest, select the purpose and provide your contact details.
- The response will be sent electronically, including the utility network statement and conditions.
What to watch out for
- Protection zones: For underground cables up to 110 kV, the zone is 1 metre on both sides; for overhead lines, it is significantly wider depending on the voltage level. Construction within this zone is permitted only with an exemption from the distributor.
- Existence ≠ consent: A utility network statement does not address the connection of a building or activities within a protective zone, these are separate applications.
- Validity: It is listed on the utility network statement; factor it in when planning your submission to the authority.
